Rahua Voluminous Shampoo and Conditioner Review

I am still working behind the scenes over here at Jewels of a Dreamer headquarters (aka my apartment) researching and experimenting with natural beauty products. At the beginning of my journey I knew shampoo + conditioner was going to be one of the first products I changed. After a lot of research and reading the recommendations of a few of my favorite green beauty bloggers including The Green Product Junkie and Beauty by Britanie I decided Rahua would be a great start. I purchased the voluminous shampoo and conditioner.
I have now been using both products for two months (I wash my hair twice a week) and I am extremely happy with the results. Within the first wash I noticed a difference in the texture and overall feel of my hair. At the beginning of this journey my hair was dry and brittle, seemingly getting worse every time I washed it. Immediately, it was as if my hair pushed the reset button. It was easier to brush, held product and stayed soft/healthy looking until my next wash.

The products have a mild scent but it does not linger and leaves your hair smelling fresh. From the research I did not everyone loves the smell but I liked it. It is hard to put my finger on exactly what the scent is but I would call it a mix of sweet and earthy. It doesn’t add weight to your hair but instead gives a nice amount of volume (something I was looking for since I ordered the voluminous shampoo). The conditioner feels light but nourishing and was applied with ease throughout my hair. It is safe for color-treated hair.

They key ingredient in the Rahua (pronounced ra-wa) products is the rahua nut oil, derived from the Amazon rainforest. The oil, rich in Omega-9 penetrates the hair deeply repairing it from the inside out. The products are 100% natural, certified organic, vegan, gluten-free and free of parabens and sulfates. The hydrolyzed quinoa contains amino acids that repair hair and the products contain palo santo oil (or “holy wood”) which comes from the same family as frankincense and has an uplifting scent.

At $34 per bottle it is pricey but a little really does go a long way. I am slightly more than half way through my bottles and will definitely purchase again once I am done. I am a true believer in this product, the results do not lie.
