While I LOVE seeing what designers are putting down the runway, what really gets me excited is translating these ideas into day-to-day life. These bits of inspiration don’t need to be filed away until Fall 2015, there is no time like the present. From classic camel colored pieces to chunky yellow turtlenecks, gorgeous faux fur paired with distressed denim and a crimson lip with an undone low ponytail, these concepts are both easy to incorporate into your style and add a lot for minimal effort. Personally, I have been loving layering turtlenecks underneath EVERYTHING and a pink lip is just what I need right now to add some brightness to these very cold days. Getting dressed should be fun, not something you dread. Taking the time for yourself is one of the highest forms of self love. I know it can be difficult during the winter but even the smallest effort can make a huge difference in how you feel. Just like anything it is easy to rely on what is comfortable, I totally get it. Whether it is putting on a bright lip, pairing something new in your closet or styling your hair differently – these acts allow you to express your creativity and start the day with loving energy. Feeling your best should never be an option.
