PSA — YOUR BODY NEEDS REST // I am seeing a pattern emerge in my clients, friends & family — REST GUILT. Feeling shame around needing to rest or that there is no time for rest because “there is too much to do”.
It is a feeling I am all too familiar with, pushing my body past its limits and ignoring the need shut off + do something as simple as taking a nap. I know this time of year is extra busy but please give yourself permission to rest (and this doesn’t mean laying in bed scrolling through IG). Real, rejuvenating rest for even 20 minutes will allow you to be more clear-headed and productive than you could ever be going through the day with an empty tank of energy. And if you need permission, this is it. Don’t wait for a health wakeup call to learn that your body + mind need to unplug + recharge.
