The first step is awareness. We are not always able to control what happens in life but we can control how we react to it. How we let that person or experience affect how we feel. Whether we play into a story no longer serving us or choose another perspective.
When you really tap into the inner knowing that you are capable of shifting your entire state of being, you understand how powerful you are. You begin to take responsibility for your life, choosing your happiness over a story that hasn’t and will never serve you. I can think of no greater act of love than that.
In my work & personal practice I have seen this shift happen the quickest by getting out of the mind and into the body. We do this through connecting to the breath, kundalini yoga, meditation & journaling. There are so so so many tools out there. Whether you know what works for you or are still on the journey of figuring it out — explore different modalities and stay open. Also know it can shift with time! It doesn’t matter where you are at in your journey, there is always new ways to look at life and there is always something to learn. No better time to start than now.
