The Sweetness of Being
I was first introduced to The Sweetness of Being when my friend Nitsa of Sun Potion gifted me with their collaborative chocolate. Within the first bite, I was instantly transported to cacao heaven and wanted to learn more about the company. I wrote the creator of the brand, Sarah Engelhart, to find out the story behind her creations. I quickly discovered she is currently raising money to expand to a commercial kitchen so she can sell The Sweetness of Being outside of just California and donated immediately. This chocolate needs to be shared with the world! Environmental sustainability and health are extremely important to Sarah. Every ingredient is organic or wildcrafted and the packaging is biodegradable. The cacao is organically grown from a family-owned plantation in Tobacco, Mexico and the raw wildflower honey comes from a solar powered honey farm. She even shared with me that the farm produces enough solar power to sustain itself and feed some energy back into the grid, how cool is that?!?! She also uses Mucuna Pruriens from Sun Potion which is a tonic herb and helps to soothe the nervous system creating a truly blissful experience.
